Artist's Comments

It appears Edmontons thunderstorm season has passed without any one superior photo. :(
We do have many not so superiors ones though, and we likes to combine them. :)

First one was arguably the best, and was taken July 2nd, not really exciting though, and that was before I started using F8.0 to avoid purple as much as possible (looks like it's bouncing off the tree :D)
Here it is: [link]

Second one was taken July 18th, this one was much more exciting, but didn't have any main subject like the first pic. This sky was off to the right of the tree in the first one.
Here is it: [link]

This is fantastic! I love lightening and you've captured it brilliantly with both your shots!

I think I saw this nebula on Star Trek once.... :)
Both shots are great, but this is better.

Haha, yeah, I thought it looked kinda unreal, you never see those little bolts that fly out everywhere. Thanks :)

I really like the purple hue...it adds to the "fantasy" feel of the photo.
What shutter speed did you use...or was this a long exposure. I have been dying to try a few lightning shots, but have not been successful - no good cloud to ground lightning, it has all been light up the sky behind clouds type lately.

First picture is 4 seconds at F3.5, second one is 8 seconds at F5.0.
Thanks for the comment and :+fav: much appreciated. :)
